• BANDITS LOSE TWO PLAYERS, ADD THREE MORE

Infielder Josh Jordan, a Bandit since the team's inception almost three years ago, and pitcher/infielder Staton Todd, who had been with the squad since the spring of 2007, have chosen to pursue opportunities with other teams.
The pair will perhaps be most remembered for their large contributions to the Bandits' state championship game victory over the 12U Sliders in October. In that contest, Jordan knocked in the game-winning run in the top of the sixth inning before Todd shut down the bottom half of the inning to pick up the 8-7 win. Also departing is assistant coach Johnny Jordan.
Stepping into the Bandits' roster will be three former Mississippi DirtBags, Austin Douglas, Chris Richardson, and Patrick Tatum. That trio will join the team in time for the start of play in the spring of 2008. Brian Richardson will also join the Bandits' coaching staff, teaming up with head coach Greg Hamby and fellow assistant coach Jay Hill.
