• BANDITS TAKE TWO OF THREE FROM SLIDERS

A strong pitching performance and late three-run blast to right field from Ben Hudson helped lead the Bandits to a pair of wins over the Sliders on Saturday in Canton. After the Bandits came out strong offensively in the day's first game to take that contest by a score of 11-1, the Sliders rebounded to win game two 4-2.
Hudson took the hill in game three and pitched five innings, leaving the mound just in time to send a clutch, three-run blast over the right field fence in the bottom of the fifth to give the Bandits a 7-4 lead heading into the final inning. Will Rutland, who started game one and picked up the win in that game, earned the save in the final contest of the day.
The Bandits will head north next weekend to play in the First Tennessee Opening Weekend event in Memphis.
