The threat of freezing temperatures and snow has forced the First Tennessee Opening Weekend event to be cancelled, and consequently, the Bandits will now play in the Wren Baseball Academy Showcase in Laurel, MS this weekend. First pitch for the team's opening game will be at 10:15 AM on Saturday morning against the AfterShock, while game two against the Mississipi Xplosion is set to begin at 3:30 PM. Sunday's game times will be released on Friday. Other teams in this weekend's tournament include the Madison Mad Dogs, Mobile Hit Men, Sliders, and Wren Gators.
